What is PERI?

The Privatisation in Education Research Initiative is a global research and networking initiative seeking to animate an accessible and informed public debate on alternative education provision. In particular, it examines the social justice implications of changes in the coordination, financing and governance of education.

Who is PERI for?

PERI is aimed at anyone who interested in privatisation in education and is a growing network of education researchers, practitioner, policy analysts and policy-makers from around the world coming together to discuss these issues face to face and on-line.


What are some ways to get involved?

You have already taken the first step by visiting our website. Please make sure to create a profile and sharing any relevant knowledge research and materials and contributing to discussions in this space.

Forthcoming calls for research concepts and policy analyses to be carried out under PERI will also be announced here along with upcoming meetings round-tables and workshops. Once a year we also run a summer school in collaboration with the Central European University on Regionalisation, Globalisation and Privatisation in Education. Calls for applications to the summer school are also announced on this website.
